
The U14 Girls travelled to Grimsby for two Ontario Basketball League (OBL) games on Sunday January 26th.
In the first game at the Crazy Catz, the Hurricanes struggle to score and came from behind to 7 points in the second half to tie the game and sent it overtime. Huntsville prevailed in overtime to win the game 38 - 35.
The second game was against the Gator Basketball Academy from Markham. The Hurricanes again struggled to score as shown by only 4 points scored in the first quarter. Huntsville hung close but in the end the Gators pulled away to win 41- 32. Juniper Oke scored a career high 10 points to lead the Hurricane and Brynn Tofflemire had a career best all round game to assist the Hurricanes in their comeback attempt.
The Huntsville club hosts the Eye of the Hurricane Tournament this weekend (February 1 & 2) at Huntsville High School. The Hurricanes play at 8:30 am and 2:30 pm in their round robin games on Saturday.
