
The U19 Women hosted the Orillia Lakers at Huntsville High School on Tuesday April 16th. The Hurricanes came out on fire pressing on defence and with good shooting took a 15 -3 lead. All game as Huntsville stretched the lead, the Lakers closed the gap.
Key defensive stops in the fourth quarter combined wth 4 three point shots from three different players clinced the game.
The Hurricane Nation filled the gym and were loud and supportive the entire game as the underdog home team won 55 - 47.
Millie Langlois led the team with 15 points with Olivia Joiner (13), Hayley Heap (11) and Justine McNaughton (9). Key made shots by Ella Mangaroff and Terry Lea Lewis in timely spots and great team defense from Nikki McGregor, Hailey Schell, Phoebe Kujala and Cadence Dixon made this fifth win in a row a true team effort.
